Coming from Florence directions (from the
highway A1 take the exit: Firenze Certosa):
1. Just 100 meters from the exit, turn on right for the street, called superstrada Firenze - Siena.
2. Exit from the superstrada Firenze - Siena: Siena sud (there is written also Buonconvento and Cassia sr2)
3. Follow the signs for Buonconvento (it is a nice town, about 26 km south Siena): the name of the street is cassia sr 2.
4. Stay on the main street (Cassia sr 2) for about 20 km, crossing three small villages (Isola d’Arbia, Ponte a Tressa, More di Cuna), always following the signs for Buonconvento
5. When you arrive in the village Ponte d’Arbia, just before the bridge, turn on right, following the sign for Castello di Saltemnano
6. Go forward for about 1,5 km on a road (which is asphalted and then white road), just following the signs for Castello di Saltemnano
Coming from Rome directions (on the highway A1) or from Perugia directions:
1. Exit, called Valdichiana, and follow the signs for Siena.
2. On the street (the s326) for Siena, about 18 km from the exit on the highway, take the exit Asciano
3. When you are in Asciano, follow the signs for Buonconvento.
4. When you arrive in Buonconvento, turn on right for Monteroni d'Arbia (you will be on the street named Cassia sr2).
5. On the street Cassia sr2, about 5 km north Buonconvento, there is a small village, called Ponte d’Arbia.
6. Cross the bridge on the main street, and than immediately turn on left side: there are the signs for Castello di Saltemnano.
7. Go forward for about 1,5 km on a road , just following the signs for Castello di Saltemnano
